铝是雕塑中常用的一种金属材料。铝的优点是：重量轻，比铜便宜，而且熔点较低。它不像青铜那样容易操作，而且焊接起来也有点棘手，但是只要掌握技术，就一点也不难了。铝的不足之处就是它的外观没有青铜的外观丰富，也不能借助外力的作用形成丰富多彩的光泽。如果长期暴露在户外，还会被氧化。
