铝是雕塑中常用的一种金属材料。铝的优点是：重量轻，比铜便宜，而且熔点较低。它不像青铜那样容易操作，而且焊接起来也有点棘手，但是只要掌握技术，就一点也不难了。铝的不足之处就是它的外观没有青铜的外观丰富，也不能借助外力的作用形成丰富多彩的光泽。

不锈钢是雕塑常用的另一种金属材料，目前使用最为广泛。不锈钢的优点就是绝对经久耐用(含镍度比较高)，不管在怎样的环境下，它也不会发生任何的腐蚀和变化。同时，不锈钢也非常的坚固，所以制作起来有些难度，但它很好焊接，而且它的光泽度很好。
